Approved CFA Uniforms
In order for us to have all schools present a unified image we have adopted the following uniform guidelines. As we may be training in different locations and under different conditions, we have multiple uniform options to fit each situation.

CFA Student T-Shirt
For classroom training, the standard student uniform shall consist of a plain white martial arts uniform with the CFA logo on the back and the school location underneath.

The US Flag Patch trimmed in white will be attached to the left sleeve and the state patch trimmed in white shall be attached to the right sleeve.

A white t-shirt is always worn underneath the uniform jacket.

The CFA patch shall be attached to the left chest. If the student is also in the American Cane System program they may wear their ACS patch on their right chest.
If the school is outside of the US, their country flag trimmed in white may be worn on the right sleeve and the US flag trimmed in white will be on the left sleeve.

Once a student has earned their Red Belt, at their discretion, they may wear red trim on the colar of their uniform jacket or they may continue to wear a solid white jacket. The only approved color for uniform pants for a student below the level of Black Belt is solid white. CFA patches and uniform markings are the same for all students.
​​​A t-shirt uniform is also approved for use at the discretion of the instructor for outdoor training. The student t-shirt shall be plain white cotton shirt with the CFA logo on the back and on the left chest.

At the discretion of the instructor, for outdoor training situations where uniforms tend to get soiled, black BDU style pants may be worn with a CFA t-shirt by all as long as all students match.
CFA Patch
CMIA Patch
The CFA patch shall be attached to the left chest.
If the student is also a member of the Cane Masters International Association they may wear their CMIA patch on their right chest.
Once earned, weapon proficiency patches may be worn on the outside of the jacket sleeve below the flags if so desired. Patches shall be spaced 1/2" apart stacked above each other in a straight line from the flags downward. Weapons proficiency patches are not required to be worn.

Once a student attains the rank of Black Belt - 1st Degree, they may wear a uniform top trimmed in black around the collar, cuffs, and bottom edge.
They may also elect to have their last name written in block lettering across the bottom of the back. Patches remain the same as for student uniforms.

If desired, a Black Belt may wear a black t-shirt underneath the uniform jacket.

Black Belts wear solid white pants with their uniform. If they have attained the rank of Instructor or higher, they may wear white pants with a black stripe down the outside of the leg signifying their Instructor status. Instructors will also wear the curved Instructor patch over the top of the CFA patch on their left chest.
Those who have attained the level of Master may wear black pants with their uniform if they desire.

Black Belts may also wear a black t-shirt with the CFA logo on the back and left chest for outdoor training at the discretion of the Instructor.

If an Instructor elects to wear a t-shirt for training, they may wear the black t-shirt with INSTRUCTOR printed across the shoulders in white letters.

We have also approved a white polo shirt with black trim on the collar and cuffs that has the logo embroidered on the chest along with the instructors name and title.
​
If students are wearing black BDU pants for outdoor training, the Instructor may wear the same if they desire.

We have also approved a lightweight windbreaker-style Instructor jacket with white stripe accents, superb functionality and exceptional breathability. Crafted from 100% polyester shell with jersey lining and mesh insets at gussets for additional breathability. Additional features are half elastic, half self-fabric cuffs for comfort, side pockets and drawcord hem with toggle. Full color logo printed on left chest and INSTRUCTOR printed across shoulders.
The windbreaker-style jacket is made to pair with our very comfortable lightweight Moisture-Wicking Quick-Dry Instructor Sweat Pants that are 100% breathable polyester, have a drawstring elastic waist, with 4-way stretch, and two side pockets. Black with white stripes on the side of the thigh.
